Sharon Palmer (Director) MA, BA (Hons) MBACP (Accred.) MACC (Reg.) – Humanistic Integrative (CBT) Counsellor / Psychotherapist & Clinical Supervisor
Silverset’s vision and goal is the provision of an effectual and prosperous counselling service. The service aims to meet the needs of clients, from 16 years and older, seeking to talk with someone about their problems and issues.
Subsequently, having experienced the need to talk about pressing issues in the past, but where help was difficult to find, has personally been a great drive to help others in similar situations. Eventually, this prompted a pursuit in the study of psychology, which eventually led to qualifications in the field of counselling.
Sharon’s areas of interest:
Mental health & emotional counselling: adult sexual abuse in childhood; anger management; anxiety; bereavement counselling; depression; family relationship difficulties; issues with the self, including building self-confidence / self-esteem / self-belief. Also, life difficulties, life purpose and meaning, & stress. Clinical Supervision; Group Therapy; and Personal Therapy with focus on Trauma and Loss Coaching/ Mentoring; Life Coping Strategies; Christian Counselling; Active & Crisis Listening.
The aim is to help clients increase their self-awareness to find their true purpose in life. Then gradually working through issues, building on their self-worth, encouraging, and empowering them to work on rebuilding their lives to the full, while simultaneously discovering & maintaining meaningful and lasting relationship with self and others.
Evidently, clients find that by talking through emotional, psychological, or mental issues, with someone who is qualified and willing to listen with impartial ears, help them to release anger, stress, depression and or pain. Therefore, sharing through expressions of emotions is one way of feeling better about oneself, as it helps to raise awareness, build self-confidence and increase self-esteem.
A more fulfilling and satisfactory life is possible, once issues and goals are sorted out, using a range of relevant therapeutic skills and tools to identify and draw out clients’ inner resources (within their own time).
Sharon practices in Lewisham, working with other counsellors to provide counselling services online, reaching locations in London, the UK and further afield. Contact: 0784 762 0103
